I'm Paige Thiessen, the founder and proud owner of Prairie Production D&P. Since 2019, I’ve been a part of Winnipeg’s thriving film community—starting out as a set dresser, then growing into roles as an art department assistant and eventually a Clearance Coordinator. Through these experiences, I saw firsthand how often productions were sourcing props and decor from cities like Toronto and Vancouver. It sparked an idea: why not build a prop and decor house right here in Winnipeg?
With the local entertainment industry continuing to grow year after year, the time felt right. After five months of curating and cataloging an inventory of unique and versatile pieces, we launched our online catalog in April 2025, offering a simple and convenient rental experience. We’re excited to open our storefront in summer 2025, located in downtown Winnipeg, making pickups and in-person browsing easy and accessible for local productions. Whether you’re working on a film, TV show, commercial, or photoshoot, we’re here to help bring your vision to life—with a local touch.
